MP3's are Back!
Yes thats right MP3's are back at uploadingit.com. We have added them back to everyone's accounts along with 2 new features for everyone to use.
First MP3's. They are back for everyone to use. We have added them back in a way that many other sites have. You can upload as many MP3's as you can fit into your disk space on your account. And you can share them to anyone, or post links to them on sites. You can not stream them in a media player, of any kind, they can only be downloaded from the site. This makes it great for sharing and posting links to your MP3 files all over the web. MP3's are just the first of many file formats that will be coming to uploadingit.com over the next few months.
On to the new features.
We have added 2 new features for everyone. a favorite files page, and a last downloads page.
First the last downloads page. To access this page to to stats, and in the drop down select "last downloads". This tool will show you all the past downloads of your files. It will show you which file was downloaded, at what time it was downloaded, and by clicking the locate button next to each file it will tell you where in the world the file was downloaded from. It shows your last 20 files by default, but you can show up to your last 400 downloads by selecting an amount from the items drop down. Your download records are kept in our stats database for a minimum of 30 days. This is just the fist step over the coming months you will see many more location based stats and features.
Second the favorites page. This is a great little tool that is great for sticking a link too in your signature on a forum, sharing a few of your favorite files with a friend, and many other things. To view your favorites list, just click the "favorites" link on the tool bar. You can give the URL to anyone you wish and they will be able to view all the files you place onto your favorites list. To add files to your favorites list, click the + sign next too all your files on the my files page, and click the link that says "add to favorites". If you wish to remove files from your favorites list, click the remove button next too a file name on your favorites. thats nice that you guys support mp3 files.its ok if live streaming is not supported.would be too much of a load for server.

The servers could take the load of steaming with no problem. We just added a 3rd server into our mix a few days ago, and would have no problem taking the load, we can handle about a million downloads a day right now, we get about 400,000 a day right now. Streaming would just kill the bandwidth because we make no money for bandwidth when someone streams a MP3.

That means I cant put them in projectplaylist..right? Was wondering why I kept getting error msg. ugh
Sadness :( I was all excited thinking I can finally use my own music files on my player instead of always having to search for them.
