Well you wanted them, and we have added them. Many of you have been emailing us saying that you are un happy with supported files list and want more. Well we have bumbed our supported files list to its largest amount ever. We have gone from 15 all the way too 45 supported files types.

We have added something for everyone, ranging from .ai for you adobe illustrator users, .xcf for those of you who use gimp, .psp for pain shop pro users. We have even added support for  Microsoft office 2007 & 2008 documents with .docx, .xmlx, & .pptx. And we managed to squeeze a few others in there for you, even .zip is now allowed.

Full List: jpg,jpeg,gif,png,bmp,tiff,psd,pdf,txt,rtf,doc,ppt,csv,xls,swf,xcf,xml,css,dcr,docx,xlsx,pptx,ico,ttf,tif,dxf,dwg,max,3ds,pdd,psp,dng,ai,htm,html,rss,atom,eml,pages,dot,dotx,info,svg,cdr,zip

To go along with all the new file formats, we have made icons to go along with all of them so they fit right into our gallery view.

This is just the start. We are going to be adding many more file formats as time goes on, by the end of May we will have over 100 supported file formats for all Free Accounts.

  • dlewis72387 (08:29PM Feb 29,2008) (Controls: Report)
We have no plans to do MP3's any time soon. They are drain on the system, and make absolutely no money for they site, they just cost a lot of money.

Still no quickbooks data support either. Thanks but I'll continue to stay elsewhere.
  • drinkingsouls (01:22PM Mar 01,2008) (Controls: Report)
I cant seem to upload any othe file types. When the box comes up to select a file, the only files that show were the old image ones.

Are you plannning on increasing the filesize at all?, as 15mb is nowhere near enough for me.
    Thanks
  • dlewis72387 (05:16PM Mar 01,2008) (Controls: Report)
wadew59 what file format does quickbooks use? I will add it right away.

drinkingsouls, I will update that very shortly, I forgot about it. All the file formats listed above do work, I just forgot to update the list. And the file size is 30mb. It will be increased to 50mb very soon.

How about file type: *.url ?  That is a bookmark ext, it would be nice to have access to private bookmarks from home, work, on the road, this way I only manage 1 computer and not many.

    Thanks!
  • drinkingsouls (08:03PM Mar 02,2008) (Controls: Report)
Will it ever be bigger than 50mb? Its just that it used to be like 350mb and all of the videos I used to host here are bigger than 50mb
    Thanks
  • wadew59 (01:23PM Mar 03,2008) (Controls: Report)
dlewis... the main data file for quickbooks is .qbw, but quickbooks also uses .qbb and .qbm as possible back up and portable data file extensions. Personally I don't currently use the latter two and just save copies of my .qbw files in cyberspace as back up.

ok the upload limit has been dropped to 2 mb, when it specifies 30 meg, i guess its time to move on
  • dlewis72387 (09:18AM Mar 04,2008) (Controls: Report)
The 2mb upload limit has been fixed. Sorry about that. I didn't even notice it.
  • divineiniquity (03:25AM Mar 06,2008) (Controls: Report)
yea has the dialogue box for the progress bar upload been fixed yet? Yesterday the only way to upload zip files was to copy + paste the file name (from windows explorer) directly into the "File Name" field and the upload is still ok.
  • dlewis72387 (09:09AM Mar 06,2008) (Controls: Report)
divineiniquity update flash for your browser. The progress bar requires flash so you can select more then one file at a time.

I mean no offence I can see yall are busy working to make the site better. But are they going to ever add MP3 soupport or not? Thats about the only thing I used the site for. And some one sent me a link for a sister site that I could use...I could never get into it.

  • cpattyn (06:57PM Mar 14,2008) (Controls: Report)
@ drinkingsouls: try converting your video to mp4  instead of other formats, quality stays the same, only way better compression

EDIT: @ dlewis: plz add mp4 movie type, allows users to upload their video's anyhow, but in way smaller size

    TIP: use xilisoft for conversion

  • Banff (01:19PM May 03,2008) (Controls: Report)
What about ".rar" , the most common file type ?
For those who want MP3 , you can zip it and and upload.
  • dlewis72387 (01:55PM May 03,2008) (Controls: Report)
RAR will never be allowed. and zipping MP3's would be against the rules, so don't try it.
  • HuskyRun (11:05PM Jun 27,2008) (Controls: Report)
    The CSS files stopped working.

HTM and HTML are just fine.
  • roelajax (08:19AM Jun 28,2008) (Controls: Report)

  • HuskyRun (10:59AM Nov 06,2008) (Controls: Report)
Why don't the CSS, HTM and HTML files work anymore?
