Wow, I am so disappointed with this site.  I haven't used it in a while because it was constantly down. Thought I'd try it again, tonight I was successful in getting on to the site, but of course, can't up load anything. "uploading has been temporarily disabled. we will re-enable it shortly. bunch of bunk! This was a waste of my money!

I too have been trying to access my stuff for several days and can't even get the main page to load.  What's happening?  This is hardly worth using if I can't upload or download any of my stuff.

It's completely useless the past month or so. One minute I think it's fixed so I upload a file. Host it on my site and then it's down.

Not even an update to what's going on by anyone in charge. This site has gone from being something amazing to the appalling site it resembles now in a matter of months. A real shame.

Anyone know of any other hosting sites with similar price plans????

Hello Everyone,

We are working quickly to make our system stable once again. For the time being, we have re-enabled uploads and they should be working fine. As I said, we are still working on some things so that is why you might see a file at 100% for a few seconds/minutes. The only thing I can suggest right now is that you wait while the file is at 100% as processing time might be temporarily delayed.

Once we have successfully tracked down the problem I will update this thread.

We know that everyone likes to get their information in different ways (email, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and we are trying to keep up with the updates as well as fix the site. Just so you guys know, I have been posting updates to the status of Uploadingit on our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/uploadingit).

Wow! I'm just trying Uploadingit for the first time and looking at all the postings. Seems like a lot of the time it doesn't work. I cannot open any files on iPad that have been uploaded. Going by Alex's registration Uploadingit must have been going for 5 years. You would think by now they would have everything fixed. I also use SugarSync...now that's how a cloud app should work.

We're working on updating some things currently and are aware of the errors/slowness.

I don't know if this is related, but I noticed that in Firefox, the window for selecting a file to upload says "Save" instead of "Open". The window seems to be correct in Internet Explorer (though I still get upload errors in both).

I just found that creating a New Folder and uploading to it gave me a successful message, but the file is only 9MB instead of 163. :<

Will try again, maybe the upload broke partway through and the system didn't verify it?

Edit: Now it seems to be 16.94 MB... actually it's increasing a few MB each time I try. Weird.

srtr,

I will look into this. I just uploaded a 100mb file and have not been able to recreate the same issues.

It's almost as if the website is very slowly copying my file onto the site. I'm basing the 'growing' file size I saw on what the Firefox downloader progress shows (ie. "1.03 MB of 8.63 MB downloaded" then that last number kept increasing slowly each time I cancelled and clicked the link again), but it always displays as the proper 163.3 MB in the file manager.

The upload from yesterday stopped 'growing' at 105-ish MB. I just reuploaded the file again and it definitely had that same effect. This time, however, it thankfully reached its proper size (the CRC hash checks out too).

And again, these were uploaded to a freshly created folder, since it always gave me an Error whenever I tried uploading to an existing folder (even the root folder).

Hope that helps.

srtr,

If possible, I'd like you to try uploading files using our direct method (no javascript, flash, etc.). Please make sure you are logged-in and direct your browser to http://uploadingit.com/upload.php?test

I'm not sure about the latest version of Firefox but Google Chrome will tell you your upload progress in the bottom left corner of the browser when uploading, if not then you may have to wait it out old school. Give that a try and when it is finished you should see something like "SUCCESS:toyyzzyre74fgr5s."

Hi, sorry for the late response, haven't checked the forums in awhile. But I tried your method with the same file and it gave me a successful message (and I see the file in my home folder).

srtr,

We have changed some things since then. You should be able to upload fine the usual way once again.
