Uploadingit.com has some new and improved features we'd like to share with you all. Over the past 2 months we've been working extremely hard to improve every aspect of the site and we think we've done just that. Tons of new features, more storage space, more daily bandwidth, a faster, more user-friendly interface and more. Check it out... New File Manager The file manager is were we spent most of our time improving, since it's the one place where you spend most of your time managing your files. The new file manager has been re-built from the ground up using Ajax technology, this means that 95% of the things you need to do can be done with out refreshing the page. You can move, delete, edit, and add files all from one page. Each file now has the ability to be dragged from folder to folder allowing you to quickly and conveniently manage your files with ease. We've also added a neat little feature called "hot keys" to the file manager. These quick little short cuts allow you accomplish simple tasks such as create a folder or delete files quicker than ever before. The following hot keys are listed below: D - Deletes the selected files.
F - Creates a new folder.
M - Toggles list and gallery view.
R - Refreshes the file manager.
T - Opens the trash bin.
U - Starts a new upload/transload.
Z - Compresses the selected files.
> - Moves file list to the next page.
< - Moves file list to the previous page.
ESC - Closes the current popup.
New Gallery View View your images with ease all in one place, just like files. Wouldn't it be nice to see all your images on one page? Now you can with Gallery View. You can switch to it by pushing the hot key "M" on your keyboard or by changing the view settings under the "More Actions" menu. With the Gallery View all your images will be shown using a small thumbnail and files that are not images will be displayed with their associated icon. Clicking once on a file in Gallery View will select it (check it) to be moved, deleted, compressed or generate links from. To view the selected image or file click twice, to get its properties click on the file name. Remember, you can still use drag and drop in Gallery View. New Uploader Not only have we re-built the file manager but we've re-build and re-engineered the Uploader as well. The new local upload has been improved from the last. The biggest feature we've added is the ability to multi-select files, this means you can select more then 1 file at a time from your computer. To do this you can "Shift + Click" or "Control + Click" the files you want. You can select and upload up to 1,000 files at a time. Along with a complete progress bar each file has it's own percentage to tell you when it's done. Transload Files Now you can get any file from anywhere without downloading it first. The URL transloader is another new feature that we have added to our update. This nifty gadget allows you to grab an image or file from another website and store it into your account. All you have to do is place 1 URL per line inside the text area and we'll take care of the rest. You are allowed to transload files up to 200 MB in size with a total of up to 600 MB per day(free accounts only). Zip Selected Files You will find this feature under the "More Actions" drop down on the file manager. It allows you to compress your selected files (up to 200 MB in total) into a single zip file. You have the option to save this file in your account, or compress and download right away.
Along with all these new features and completely new layout, we decided to DOUBLE your total storage space from 10 GB to 20 GB and QUADRUPLE your daily bandwidth from 5 GB to 20 GB. HOLY SMOKES! That's a whopping 600 GB of bandwidth per month! Some Other Stuff... Now that's not the only good news we've got for you but we also have some upcoming goodies to share with you all. In the next few months Uploadingit Developers will be moving from the web, which is your cloud, down to you iPhone, iPad, Desktop, Android, and more.
